Construction for the community
Since 2001, PHASES has been working to tackle the impact of homelessness. We specialise in reclaiming lost land to build sustainable housing projects and we transform empty properties into much-needed homes for local people. As a community construction charity, PHASES actively seeks out places and spaces that are overlooked and abandoned. And we work with a host of brilliant partners to bring them back to life.
We believe that social enterprise development has the power to transform lives. And because homelessness is not just about housing, PHASES has developed a unique training pathway. We help local people who’ve experienced homelessness or long-term unemployment gain the skills they need to work in construction. As the industry evolves, we’re also exploring ways to equip our trainees for success in the future, using modern methods of construction.
We’re actively targeting overlooked land and empty properties for small-scale affordable housing projects
We’ve built strong relationships with public bodies, funders and construction professionals who share our values
Our unique training pathway enables local people to gain valuable skills for the evolving construction sector
We create homes for people who’ve become homelessness, struggled in poor housing or suffered overcrowding
partnering for success
At PHASES, we work with a host of brilliant people and organisations to help us build affordable housing for local people. As a construction charity, we partner with individual land owners, local authorities, churches, charities and other social enterprises to help us build community value into the development process. We want all our stakeholders to prosper, so we listen carefully to their goals and we share the benefits of development with them.
